The Navy League and Sea Cadet programs are made to teach young citizens to be respectful, self-disciplined, leaders and physically fit.
The Sea Cadet program is backed by the Department of National Defense, being provided with uniforms and facilities. The program trains cadets aged 12-19 ceremonial drill with arms, flags, mace and cutlass. Sea Cadets also learn the different trades such as sail, seamanship, drill, fitness, air rifle marksmanship and music.
The Navy League program is backed by the Navy League of Canada's branch that is local to the corps. The program teaches pupils aged 9-12 seamanship, drill, music, merit, first-aid and promotes physical fitness.
